There’s a little bit to get legally hitched in Australia but its okay you’re in good hands!
Firstly, you both have need to be over the age of 18 (if one of you are 16 or 17 you must have a court order in place to allow marriage) and you must not be related. From there we start the legal process. To start, and most importantly in the Notice of Intended Marriage or colloquially known as the NOIM. This form needs to be lodge no earlier than 18 months prior to your wedding date and no later than one calendar month prior. For this process, I will need to witness documents to confirm your identity.
The easiest and most accessible are usually the following:
- Drivers Licence
- Passport
- Current Drivers Licence
- Birth CertificateIf you were previously married I will also need to witness divorce certificate.
From there we will work together to craft your perfect ceremony and wedding day (but more that later - that’s the fun part and deserves its time to shine)!
Now as close to the date as possible you and your partner will need to sign what’s known as the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage or DONLIM. This solidifies that there is absolutely no reason you can’t be legally wed. Ie: you’re already married, underage, related etc.
When your big day finally roles around (after what must have seemed like forever) on the day you and your witnesses will need to sign three certificates – two Official Certificates of Marriage and your Marriage Certificate (Form 15) which is the one you get to keep and put straight in the pool room (if you know you know).
I then pronounce you married and WOOOO its party time, pop the damn champagne!
The rest is up to me to lodge with Births, Deaths and Marriages and in about 2 weeks you’ll have your offical certificate to be used for anything legal.

Well well well, firstly thank you kindly! To ensure we are a match made in heaven and I can provide you with the ceremony of your dreams I like to meet with potential couples, grab a glass of Savvy B or a strong flat white and discuss all this WEDDING!
After the meeting, if we hit it off and you want to proceed we sign the contract and a $150 deposit is due to secure your booking. Then comes all the fun times, lemon lime!

No stress ya’ll – I have you covered. I supply my own PA and wireless microphone that are included in 2 of my packages. This can be used to play your ceremony music as well as pre and post ceremony at the location. That being said, I do not hire my speakers out and they come home with me once I leave.

Yes I do – I can work with you and you friend or family member however I will need to perform all of the legal requirements, wordings and signing registry and then oversee your friend or family member facilitating the ceremony, including vows and ring exchange.

Of course! I love visiting new places and would absolutely pack up my gear and be there. Based on the location of your wedding travel charge may be need to be added to your packages but that’s on a case by case basis.

As stated (pretty much everywhere) I’m a bit of a sucker for romance and love stories so my primary focus is on your story and the two of you. I like to find the perfect balance between the intimacy, the romance, the seriousness, the happy and the goofy. It’s a HUGE milestone you’re trusting me to be part of so I want to make sure I work closely with you to ensure the ceremony vibes are VIBING!
